Chicago 2024
Three sections: Buildings, Details, and Other.
Buildings
Chicago has a beautiful skyline — many different building styles, including Classical, Neo-classical, Modern, Post-Modern, Deco. The skyline can be seen from many angles, unlike Toronto and some other cities. And Chicago has not cluttered up Lake Shore Drive with buildings that block the magnificent view of Lake Michigan. These images are from a boat tour of the Chicago River.
Keep scrolling — it’s long. You can click on an image to enlarge it.
The dark stripes are open spaces to allow wind to breeze through without deflecting the whole building.
Details
These are close-ups (closer-ups) of some the amazing details on Chicago’s downtown buildings.
The dark stripes are open spaces to allow the wind to breeze through without deflecting the entire building.
Other Shots
Finally, some other shots. Some are from the River Walk, a walkway along the river with restaurants, pubs, and the like.
Four of these bridges are so low that the tour guide on the boat sat down.
The whole centre of this bridge raises and lowers.
Mony and Raja.
